A history magazine enters the past tense

It has been around for more than 50 years. It sells more than 350,000 copies. And its readers are smart enough to argue the causes of the Civil War or tell an author that the M-1 rifle, not M-16, was used in World War II. Still, the American Heritage is to be shut down. Or, as publishers put it, it has “suspended publication“.
