Sucheta Dalal and Private Treaties both lie in this Universal Grey Zone. The only difference is that Private Treaties is an idea whose time has come and Sucheta Dalal is a journalist whose time is past. Dogs bark the caravan passes. ;-) Intelligent journalists realize that while “Black and White” thinking and writing, makes for sensational reading, the Truth lies beyond duality in different shades of Grey.

Sucheta Dalal and Private Treaties both lie in this Universal Grey Zone.

The only difference is that Private Treaties is an idea whose time has come and Sucheta Dalal is a journalist whose time is past.

Sivakumar's beguilement exposes his own: (1) Lack of a good heart, and (2) Inadequate understanding of "libel." Ms. Dalal can't do much about the former. But she can get legal relief for the latter. Bennett Coleman should fire that petty man. It's a shame -- executives who know little about journalism or democracy enjoy lots of power in media companies. Mr. S.
