Eights months ago, The Times of India sold the ‘O’ in its masthead in Delhi to the cellphone company MTS.

Today, it is the good fortune of the cellphone company Uninor to grab its hand on ‘T’ in Bombay.

Mahesh Vijapurkar, the former Bombay bureau chief of The Hindu, writes in to say that The Times‘ competitors in the Bombay (Market) have also sold valuable front-page real estate to Uninor today.

Both DNA and The Indian Express have used the front page flier space to herald the entry of Uninor on urbs prima in Indus through banner advertisements.
