Wisdom founder-editor dead; long live Wisdom

An advertisement published in The Hindu on Tuesday, March 27, in memory of the founder editor of Wisdom, the lower-priced monthly magazine containing bits of information from here, there, everywhere a la Reader’s Digest—on which generations of  Indians grew up.

    May his soul Rest In Peace. I have been buying Wisdom for many, many years. Even today and I am only 62 years old.
    I hope Wisdom continues…

    With money in severe shortage to buy CSR and the likes, i had always depended on Wisdom picked from pavements or borrowed ( and even begged from friends) for a fraction of its original price.
